Gurgaon: A 40-year-old man was found murdered with a stab wound to his neck at his relative’s house in Faridabad’s Shyam Colony on Thursday morning. Police have arrested his wife and her alleged lover in connection with the murder conspiracy.The deceased, Gopal, originally from Kumarpur village in UP’s Hathras district, had been living in Faridabad for around 15 years and worked as a machine operator at a factory in the DLF industrial area.According to police, Gopal’s wife Kajal (35) had travelled from their native village to Faridabad on Oct 13 with two of their three children and was staying at a relative’s house in Shyam Colony. Gopal also visited the house the next day to meet them.On Thursday morning, their daughter called Gopal’s brother, Bhura, and told him that her father was unwell. When Bhura reached the house, he found his elder brother dead and informed the police. Based on Bhura’s complaint, a case was registered under Section 103 (murder) of BNS at Palla police station.During the probe, police found that Gopal and Kajal had been involved in a domestic dispute over her acquaintance and alleged affair with Yogendra (37), a man from their village. Investigators suspect that the two allegedly conspired to kill Gopal.According to preliminary findings, Gopal reached the relative’s house on the intervening night of Oct 14 and 15 in an intoxicated condition. After he fell asleep, Kajal allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a knife, causing his death. She allegedly fled after the crime, making her the prime suspect in the case, police said.The DLF crime branch subsequently arrested Kajal and Yogendra from their native village. A police officer said Yogendra was not present at the house during the murder but was allegedly involved in the conspiracy. Police are questioning them to establish the sequence of events and their alleged roles in the crime.“Police have arrested the two accused and are investigating all aspects of the alleged conspiracy,” Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal Yadav said.Gopal’s body was handed over to the family after autopsy.
