UPCM Yogi Adityanath said that the state is rapidly positioning itself as a key destination for artificial intelligence, data centres, robotics and drone technologies. He emphasised during a university convocation in Lucknow that tech-education must adapt quickly with short-term diplomas and certificate programmes in these emerging fields.
He pointed out that UP has secured major investment proposals (over ₹45 lakh crore) in recent years and is now shifting from being “behind” to “ahead”. He also referenced the upcoming BrahMos missile project unit in the state, signalling how defence manufacturing could bring jobs and GST revenue.
