NEW DELHI: A delivery executive has won widespread appreciation on social media after stepping in to help a woman put out a fire in her kitchen while delivering a parcel to her home.The incident, captured on CCTV, has gone viral, with several users praising the man for remaining calm and acting swiftly during the emergency.ID@undefined Caption not available.The footage shows Shivangi Joshi receiving a parcel from the delivery executive at her gate.At the time, a pan left on the kitchen stove begins emitting smoke before catching fire.After collecting the parcel and returning inside, Joshi notices the blaze. Hearing the commotion, the delivery executive rushes into the house and helps her extinguish the fire without hesitation.Joshi later shared the CCTV footage on social media, recounting the incident and expressing gratitude to the delivery executive for coming to her rescue.In her post, she wrote, “Kal raat ek delivery person mere ghar parcel dene aaya tha. Usse nahi pata tha ki uski ek delivery meri zindagi ki sabse emotional memories mein se ek ban jayegi. Jab mere kitchen mein aag lagi, mujhe kuj samajh nhi aya ke kaise usko control krna hai …he just came in and usne bina soche meri help ki aur mujhe yaad dilaya ki insaaniyat aaj bhi zinda hai.”Describing the frightening experience, Joshi said she was unsure how to tackle the fire when it broke out in her kitchen.The delivery executive, who had arrived to drop off her parcel, stepped in to help her without a second thought.Reflecting on the delivery executive’s actions, Joshi spoke about how people often form opinions about others based on their appearance or profession, overlooking their courage and compassion.“We sometimes judge people by their appearance, profession and work but the reality is your profession doesn’t define the courage and humanity you have for others….
