Gurgaon: A video of a quarrel uploaded on social media last year allegedly triggered an attack in which two men fired three rounds at a house in Nangla Enclave Part 2 early Thursday. The AVTS Sikrona team acted swiftly and arrested both on the same day, police said.The accused, Harsh alias Bhura (22) and Ranjit alias Chinna (19), are residents of Uttam Nagar Part 2 in Nangla Gazipur. Police said the firing at the house of complainant Sarjeet was carried out allegedly with the intention to kill him.ACP (crime) Aman Yadav said the incident took place around 2.15am on the intervening night of Oct 21 and 22 near Subhash Chowk. Following Sarjeet’s complaint, an attempt-to-murder case was registered.“During preliminary questioning, we learnt that the accused are friends. In 2025, Ranjit was involved in a quarrel, which Sarjeet’s son, Sachin, recorded and uploaded on social media. Ranjit had asked Sachin to delete the video but he refused. This led to enmity,” Yadav said.Their criminal antecedents are being examined as part of the investigation, the officer added.
