New Delhi: Nafe alias Mantri, who was associated with gangster Manjeet Mahal, died in Tihar Jail Sunday, police said. The cause of death is suspected to be cardiac arrest. Delhi Police had arrested him last year near Indo-Nepal border.His involvement in criminal activities dates back to 2002-03, when he entered the cable and building material businesses and came in contact with Mahal. Police said he was involved in a 2015 murder, which triggered a violent rivalry between the Mahal and Sangwan gangs in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. The gang war subsequently claimed more than a dozen lives, said police.
