tnnVaranasi: Tension gripped the Purab Pokhara area of Atraulia town in Azamgarh district late Sunday after a bone was found near the prasad at a Durga Puja pandal. A three-day Durga Puja fair was underway in the town when the incident occurred.As news spread, a crowd gathered at the pandal, while office-bearers and members of various idol committees also reached the spot. A youth accused of throwing the bone was taken into custody.Police arrived soon after being informed and brought the situation under control. Officials assured the crowd that appropriate action would be taken and launched an investigation.Budhanpur circle officer Vijay Kumar Singh Gaur said police reached the Durga Puja pandal immediately after receiving the information. Police urged people to maintain peace and not believe unverified information. Police said they are investigating the motive behind the incident.
