Varanasi: The Annual Financial Inclusion in Digital Banking Leadership Summit and Awards 2026 was held in Varanasi on Wednesday, bringing together leaders from the banking, fintech, technology, govt and corporate sectors to discuss India’s evolving digital banking ecosystem.Organised by the Indian Investors Federation (IIF) and Invest UP, Government of Uttar Pradesh, the summit was led by RK Sharan, president and executive director of the IIF UP State Council, and Sangeeta Srivastava, senior vice-president.Uttar Pradesh industries minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi attended the event along with minister of state for MSME Hansraj Vishwakarma, Varanasi mayor Ashok Tiwari, additional chief secretary for higher education Amit Kumar Ghosh, and CEO of Invest UP Vijay K Anand.The awards recognised contributions to banking, industry, education and business. Amit Kumar Ghosh received the President Award 2026 and the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Varanasi-based industrialist Gopal Gupta was honoured for 75 years of industrial contribution and distinguished service.
