Lucknow: The UP BJP state working committee signalled the formal start of campaign for the 2027 Assembly elections, with party’s state president Pankaj Chaudhary asserting that the party was moving ahead with a firm resolve to return to office in UP for the third consecutive term.Addressing the meeting, Chaudhary noted that there was a strong, widespread sentiment in favor of the BJP across the state. He urged party workers to remain actively engaged with the public by highlighting the achievements of both central and state govts. He said BJP was prepared to write a new chapter of victory in the 2027 elections. “Every party worker will dedicate themself to election preparations, drawing strength from the organization, govt’s accomplishments, and a steadfast commitment to public service,” he said.Chaudhary identified five key priorities ahead of the 2027 polls: strengthening booth committees, intensifying public outreach, ensuring regular organizational reviews, expanding the party’s footprint among youth, women and first-time voters, and enhancing ideological and operational training for workers. He said the party’s goal was not merely electoral victory but nation-building through development, social harmony and good governance.Chaudhary credited the party’s organizational strength, PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, CM Yogi Adityanath’s governance record, and the efforts of millions of workers for the BJP’s continued dominance in the state.Calling the meeting more than a routine organizational exercise, Chaudhary said it was an opportunity to review the party’s achievements, assess its strength and chart out a roadmap for the future.Highlighting the party’s organizational expansion, Chaudhary said the BJP’s Sangathan Parv campaign, launched in Nov 2024, strengthened the party’s structure from the booth level upwards. He said elections and appointments were completed across all 1,918 organizational mandals in the state, while booth-level conventions were simultaneously held in all 403 assembly constituencies, covering around 1.66 lakh of UP’s 1.77 lakh polling booths. The UP BJP chief said Modi govt’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” and the Yogi government’s development and law-and-order initiatives had transformed UP’s image. He highlighted infrastructure projects, industrial and defence corridors, expansion of medical colleges, improved law and order, and welfare schemes as evidence of the government’s performance.Chaudhary accused the opposition of lacking policy direction, leadership and intent. He claimed that the upcoming election would be a contest between development and destruction, nationalism and caste-based politics.Referring to Congress and the Samajwadi Party, he alleged that opposition parties were focused on the policy of “confusion” and political infighting, while the BJP remained committed to development and social harmony.
