Patna: On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, chief minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday launched a cleanliness drive near his official residence and urged people to make cleanliness a collective responsibility.Participating in the campaign ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, Choudhary swept the area and picked up garbage himself. He later shared a video of the drive on his official X handle, calling for greater public awareness about cleanliness and sanitation.The CM said every citizen should contribute towards keeping society and the state clean and healthy. Emphasising the importance of public participation, he said cleanliness was not the responsibility of any single individual or institution but a shared duty of all citizens.He appealed to people to keep their homes, workplaces and surroundings clean and make hygiene an integral part of their daily lives.Choudhary said the SevaSankalpAbhiyan aims to promote the spirit of service, cleanliness and social responsibility. He added that the vision of a clean, healthy and developed Bihar could be realised only through public awareness and collective efforts.
