Kota: An 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death in Pandit Deendayal Nagar under Kota’s Anantpura police station area late Monday night in what police said was a violent clash rooted in a past rivalry.The deceased was identified as Bhuvnesh Nagara, a resident of Talwandi, Kota, who was allegedly attacked while visiting friends in the locality.According to eyewitnesses, five assailants arrived on two motorcycles, surrounded him and launched a knife attack as he tried to flee. He suffered severe injuries, especially to his thigh, leading to heavy blood loss. Bystanders took him to Medical College New Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, said police. Forensic science laboratory (FSL) and mobile forensic (MOB) teams gathered evidence from the crime scene.A murder case has been registered against five accused — Rahul alias Baccha, Sagar, Deepu Panda and two unidentified accomplices. “Police have registered a case of murder against the five individuals,” said Mahesh Kumar, SHO of Anantpura police station.“The youth suffered critical knife wounds on his thigh, causing rapid fatal haemorrhage,” the SHO added.Police said teams have been deployed to trace and arrest the accused, who have prior criminal backgrounds. “The post-mortem examination was conducted, and the body was handed over to the family for final rites,” the SHO said.Investigators linked the killing to a March 2026 incident in which Bhuvnesh allegedly attacked Rahul (alias Baccha) with a knife in the Anantpura area, leading to an attempted murder case against him. Police said he was a juvenile at the time and was sent to a remand home and later released.Police said Rahul and his associates were waiting for an opportunity to retaliate and attacked Bhuvnesh after learning about his movements in Pandit Deendayal Nagar Monday evening.Police said the victim’s family claimed he was a first-year BTech student living with his grandmother on Sheela Choudhary Road. “Preliminary findings have indicated he had multiple criminal cases pending against him across different police stations, including Ranpur,” the SHO said.– Bhuvnesh Nagara, 18, of Talwandi, Kota, was attacked late Monday night at Pandit Deendayal Nagar– Deep knife wounds to his thigh caused heavy blood loss.
