LUCKNOW: Shraddha Dubey, a model, fashion blogger and social media influencer, has come under police scrutiny following the death of her 28-year-old live-in partner, cafe owner Shiva Sharma, who fell from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment near Balu Adda in Lucknow on October 9.Police have booked Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, their driver and two others for murder.The case took a serious turn after Sharma’s family accused Dubey and others of assaulting and torturing him before throwing him from the building. The allegations have yet to be independently established, and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Dubey has a background in fashion blogging, modelling and fashion events. She holds a master’s degree and a postgraduate diploma in Computer Applications. She began exploring modelling and fashion blogging in Hyderabad before establishing herself in Lucknow.Her Instagram account had around 1.41 lakh followers as of Tuesday, with much of her content focused on fashion, clothing and lifestyle. A music video featuring Dubey, released by Zee Music Company on YouTube in February 2019, had garnered around 2.78 lakh views.
What happened to Shiva Sharma?
Sharma died after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment on October 9. The incident was initially viewed as a possible accidental death. However, a complaint by his family alleging assault and torture prompted police to launch a murder investigation.Sharma’s mother, Ranjana Sharma, alleged that her son had been held captive and brutally assaulted before being thrown from the building. She claimed his body bore multiple injuries, including fractures to his jaw, both eye regions, ribs and a leg, along with cigarette-burn marks and scratches.The family further alleged that Dubey had been harassing Sharma for the past four to five months, assaulting him and threatening to frame him in false cases. According to the family, Dubey visited their shop about a week before Sharma’s death and threatened them, demanding that they hand him over to her.
Post-mortem report records multiple injuries
The post-mortem report records 11 entries detailing external injuries and six broad categories of internal findings. It notes tears in both lungs, injuries to the liver and spleen, substantial internal bleeding and a fracture of the right pelvic bone.Doctors attributed Sharma’s death to shock and haemorrhage resulting from the injuries.Police are investigating whether Sharma jumped, was pushed or fell accidentally. Investigators are examining CCTV footage, witness statements and physical evidence from the scene to reconstruct the sequence of events. They are also considering a crime scene recreation to establish the likely point of impact and determine whether the evidence at the site is consistent with the injuries recorded in the post-mortem examination.Officials said the post-mortem findings alone do not establish how Sharma fell from the building.
Police announce reward for accused
Lucknow Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister and their driver. Six teams have been formed to trace the three accused, who are absconding.Police are continuing to investigate the allegations and examine the evidence to establish the circumstances surrounding Sharma’s death.
