Police seize suspected adulterated ghee in Chittorgarh Thursday
Bhilwara: Chittorgarh police and the food safety department seized 413 kg of suspected fake ghee from a house and a shop in Rashmi town Thursday.Chittorgarh SP Dharmendra Singh said ASI Suraj Kumar received a tip-off that desi ghee was being illegally stored at Anil Pokharna’s house and shop in Rashmi.Acting on the information, a team from the district special team, Rashmi police station, and the food safety department searched the premises.The team recovered tin and plastic containers bearing different markings, all labelled as Saras ghee. Food safety officials collected samples for laboratory testing and sealed the containers.
