Gurgaon: A suspected drunk driver allegedly drove a Scorpio on the wrong side of the road in Sector 83 Wednesday night, ramming five vehicles and triggering an angry confrontation. No serious injury was reported.A 25-second video showing commuters surrounding the SUV and telling the driver to step out after forcing him to stop has been making the rounds on social media.The driver appeared heavily intoxicated and was struggling to stand, according to witnesses.A woman whose car was among those damaged approached him and asked whether he was the one responsible. When the driver raised his hand, she challenged him over his alleged intoxication.“You dare raise a hand against me, how drunk are you?” she can be heard saying.The woman accused him of putting the lives of others at risk. Pointing out that he was having trouble staying upright, she hit him on the shoulder before slapping him. Some in the crowd attempted to intervene as the argument escalated.People at the spot tried to dial 112, but their calls allegedly failed to connect because of network issues.Cops said the exact time of the incident was yet to be ascertained. Police spokesperson Sandeep Turan said no case had been registered in connection with the incident as no one had filed a complaint.The Manesar DCP and the Kherki Daula station house officer could not be reached for comment.
