UP to Introduce Title-Based Property Registration-Reform

The state government is moving to a title-based system for property registration, where the seller’s ownership and freedom from encumbrance must be verified before sale registration. This is aimed at curbing fraud, reducing disputes, and bringing more transparency to real-estate transactions in UP.


Aligning with this, unified circle-rates for property valuation across districts were also introduced, simplifying the process for home-buyers and lenders.
