Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Friday asked officials to improve basic facilities in govt-run schools, health centres, anganwadi centres, bus stands and public utilities across Bihar under the ‘Seva Sankalp and Kayakalp Abhiyan’.Chairing a review meeting at the ‘Sankalp’ auditorium in Lok Sevak Awas, Samrat directed officials to prioritise school repairs, painting and boundary wall construction. He stressed the need for clean toilets, safe drinking water, electricity and other essential amenities in all govt schools.He also ordered the construction of additional classrooms wherever required and buildings for schools operating without their own premises. Officials were asked to speed up the construction of anganwadi centres.Emphasising coordination among departments, Samrat said all projects under the campaign must be completed promptly while maintaining quality standards. He said improving basic facilities remained a govt priority and stressed timely execution.Reviewing health infrastructure, the CM directed officials to improve facilities at primary health centres, sub-divisional health centres and district health centres to ensure patients received necessary services without inconvenience. He also stressed cleanliness, essential amenities and patient comfort.Samrat called for the cleanliness and beautification of bus stands, saying passenger safety and basic amenities must be ensured at facilities used by large numbers of people daily.He also directed officials to repair non-functional streetlights in urban and rural areas, install new ones wherever necessary and ensure proper maintenance of public tube wells across the state.
