Adani Group set to bag underground contract for Jaipur Metro Line 2

Jaipur: Cemindia Projects Limited, an Adani Group entity, is all set to bag the tender for construction of the underground stretch of Jaipur Metro Line 2.Confirming the development, a senior Jaipur metro official said the company has emerged as the lowest bidder for the Jaipur construction package, quoting Rs 921.63 crore in financial bids.“The financial bid for the project was opened on Oct 15, 2026. While the final contract award is still pending, in all probability the Adani Group’s entity would bag it,” an official added.Officials said the package covers the construction of twin tunnels, an underground ramp and underground stations at Sanganer Police Station and Jaipur Airport.“The underground stretch would start from the Pinjrapole Gaushala on Tonk Road and would end again on Tonk Road at B2B Crossing, running below the Jaipur Airport,” an official added.Metro officials are also mulling the idea of constructing an additional station on this stretch near Jawahar Circle to cater to the proposed Unity Mall.“Groups like AFCONS, Shapoorji Pallonji, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Projects participated in this tender,” another official said.
