They insisted the civic body review the firm’s track record, adherence to deadlines, machinery, and technical resources before awarding fresh projects to ensure construction quality and avoid public inconvenience. The committee also deferred a ₹4-crore road project in Hargobind Nagar (Ward 36), intended to be funded by central government grants. Bhatti opposed a clause allowing the financial burden to be shifted to municipal corporation (MC) funds if central funds were delayed, insisting the project strictly rely on central grant money.Addressing concerns over agendas 6 and 12 regarding two tubewells proposed for Hira Nagar in the mayor’s ward, the mayor clarified that one newly proposed tubewell would be shifted to Ward 75 alongside an existing transfer proposal, ensuring both are not installed in the same location.
