Gurgaon: A 40-year-old cab driver was found dead in the seat of his car near KLJ Society in Sector 77 on Sunday morning. Police have found injury marks on his neck and suspect it might be a case of murder.An officer said police received information around 7.45am that a man was lying dead inside a car parked near the society. A team from BPTP police station reached the spot and identified the deceased as Prakash Kumar, a resident of Sector 77 who originally hailed from Rajasthan. The car’s window was broken, and bloodstains were found inside the vehicle. The officer said it is not immediately clear what had caused the injury marks on the man’s neck and it will be determined after a post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.Investigators are checking CCTV footage from nearby areas to establish when the car arrived at the spot and whether anyone was seen approaching or leaving it. The officer said, “A passerby had spotted the car at the same location late on Saturday.”His family has not expressed any suspicion against anyone so far.He further stated that the investigation was under way to determine whether Prakash was killed inside the vehicle and who could be responsible.Prakash had been living with his family in Faridabad for several years. He earlier worked as a driver in Rajasthan before moving to Faridabad, where he drove his own car as part of a cab service.Police are in the process of registering a murder case at BPTP police station.
