Lucknow: A man who suffered critical injuries after a school bus hit the motorcycle he was riding 10 days ago died in Telibagh area on Saturday. The family of Devendra Kumar (45), a civil contractor, demanded from the school management Rs 1 crore in compensation and jobs for his three children.On Oct 14, Devendra, a resident of Barauli, was on his way to deposit school fees of his children, students of NKM School in Vrindavan Sector 9, when he met with the accident near Vrindavan Sector 12 crossing. He was rushed to a trauma centre and remained under treatment till he succumbed.The family initially refused to perform last rites, pressing their demands. His wife, Kranti Singh, complained to police that the bus lacked valid insurance or fitness certificate and sought action.Inspector Sunil Singh said police assured the family of appropriate action, following which last rites were conducted.
