‘Fauzi’ reportedly targets March 18, 2027
According to Gulte report, the makers of the Prabhas starrer are considering March 18, 2027, for the theatrical release of ‘Fauzi’. The team is reportedly filming the interval block and expects to complete the production by mid-December 2026.If the reported date is finalized, two major Prabhas films could be scheduled for the same month. This may lead to a change in the release plans for ‘Spirit’, which was announced for March 5, 2027. However, there is no official confirmation that either film’s schedule will change.The makers are also reportedly planning to release the teaser for ‘Fauzi’ on October 23, 2026. The date coincides with Prabhas’ 47th birthday, although the team has yet to officially announce the teaser launch.
Prabhas plays an officer in the period epic
‘Fauzi’ features Prabhas as an officer in a fictional story set against a historical backdrop. The film is described as a period epic, with its narrative unfolding in a setting inspired by history.Internet personality Imanvi makes her acting debut in the project, playing the female lead. The cast also includes veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada in pivotal roles.The film has been in production for some time, and its revised schedule has generated interest among fans awaiting Prabhas’ next release. Jitin Gulati says the delay was expected
Actor Jitin Gulati, who is part of the cast, previously discussed the delay in an interview with Hindustan Times. He explained that the possibility of postponement did not surprise the team because filming was still underway. He also stressed that the makers did not want to release an incomplete film.“I don’t know how much is going to be pushed; I don’t know what the new date they are thinking about is. But it was not a shock. I mean, of course, we are still shooting for it. So it was quite understood. And the idea is not to give a half-baked project. I mean, a film lives for a lifetime. What once comes out? You cannot undo it,” he said.
The makers want to finish the film properly
Jitin Gulati added that the people involved in the project were happy with the work completed so far. He said they were unwilling to compromise on the film, even if production required additional time.“We’d rather be very, very satisfied with what we are doing. And I know the producers, the directors and the cast involved are very happy with the outcome, and I don’t think they want to compromise any bit. So if it takes about, let’s say, a few months more to finish it properly, I think it’s going to be worth it.”Prabhas was last seen in ‘The Raja Saab’, directed by Maruthi. The film received mixed reviews and even trolls for its VFX, storyline and acting.On the other hand, Prabhas has the most awaited ‘Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam’, and ‘Kalki 2’ in the pipeline. Nag Ashwin’s ‘ ‘Kalki 2’ is expected to release on December 2027. Filming is actively underway for Nag Ashwin – Prabhas film, and the expectations are high.
