Patna: Police arrested two hotel managers and rescued three women, including a Kenyan national, during raids at two hotels in Danapur area of Patna on Saturday following a tip-off about an alleged prostitution racket.Acting on information received on Friday night, a team led by Danapur ASP Ajit Kumar, along with the Danapur SHO and technical team, raided a hotel near Saguna Mor and another on Gola Road.Police rescued a foreign woman from the first hotel and seized two cellphones, a photocopy of her passport, objectionable items and the hotel register. Her details are being verified. At the second hotel, police rescued two more women and seized a cellphone, objectionable items and the hotel register.The managers, Ravindra Singh (21), a resident of Begusarai, and Pappu Kumar, a resident of Banka, were arrested.ASP Kumar said police were examining the cellphones and registers to identify intermediaries and others involved in the alleged sex racket. “A case was registered at Danapur police station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act,” he said.
