New Delhi: The Ramlila Maidan rally gladdened the hearts of Congress and the other opposition parties, but it was some last-minute action that saved the day after the rain played spoiler.The grounds were waterlogged in key spots after the showers over three days. It was so even on the eve of the rally. But the party complimented the Delhi unit leaders – Manish Chatrath, state chief Devender Yadav, AICC state in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, and Seva Dal head BV Srinivas – for turning around the scary situation.It is learnt that dumpers were brought to fill the ground with mud till pre-dawn on Sunday.
