Lucknow: With Diwali approaching, Gudamba police have intensified surveillance in Behta village to prevent illegal firecracker manufacturing and the storage of explosives, particularly in the wake of a deadly explosion that claimed four lives there last year.On Thursday, a police team led by ACP (Ghazipur), Indiranagar, Atul Kumar Pandey, along with a dog squad, conducted searches at houses where cases of illegal firecracker manufacturing and storage of gunpowder had been reported earlier.Pandey said no illegal firecracker manufacturing was currently taking place in the village. However, police were maintaining a close watch on suspicious premises to ensure that such activities do not resume during the festive season.
