BHAGALPUR: Chaos erupted at Sandis Compound Ground in Bihar’s Bhagalpur on Saturday night as a massive crowd gathered for a concert featuring Magahi singer Roshan Rohi and Bhojpuri actress Dimple Singh.The situation turned chaotic, resembling a stampede, prompting police to resort to a lathi charge to control the crowd.People jostled to catch a glimpse of the performers, with many pushing forward.As the situation deteriorated, bamboo barricades broke and sofas at the venue were scattered, triggering panic among those present.Police personnel deployed at the venue resorted to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd and restore order.Fire brigade vehicles and personnel were also deployed as the situation spiralled out of control.There was no official confirmation of any injuries at the time of reporting.The incident has also raised questions about the security arrangements made to manage the large crowd at the event.
