Gurgaon: A 12-year-old boy died after falling from a tractor onto the rotating blades of a reaper attached to it in Manesar on Saturday. The impact left his body dismembered, police said.The tractor belonged to the boy’s family and a relative was driving it in the family’s field when the incident occurred. According to a police officer, Vansh asked his father to let him sit on the tractor. He was sitting above one of the tyres when he slipped and fell towards the rear, where the reaper was attached. A postmortem examination was conducted on Sunday, after which the body was handed over to the family for the last rites, the officer said.Police initiated inquest proceedings to establish the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death. No foul play was suspected in the case, the officer said, adding that the incident appeared to be accidental based on the preliminary information available. SI Vinod is investigating the incident.
