Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Congress president Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ on Thursday described the results of the recent Legislative Council elections as a victory for the INDIA bloc, calling the contest a “semifinal” ahead of the 2027 assembly polls.“The support that educated voters have extended to the INDIA bloc makes it clear that people will back the alliance with a full majority in the 2027 assembly elections,” Mishra said.She also claimed that the results indicated a decline in public confidence in Yogi Adityanath govt.“People have lost faith in BJP govt in Uttar Pradesh, and its exit is certain. The BJP will be wiped out in the 2027 assembly elections,” she said.
