Patna: An inter-school volleyball competition was organised at Holy Mission Secondary School in Khagaul, with teams from several schools in the city, including Radiant International School, DAV Khagaul and Tribhuvan School, taking part.The competition was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar, chairperson of Holy Mission Group. School principal Mukesh Kumar Srivastava was also present on the occasion. Vice-principal Ricky welcomed the guest and the participating teams.Adarsh Vikas Vidyalaya emerged as the winner of the competition, while the DAV Khagaul team finished as runners-up. The school principal presented trophies to both teams. The winning players were also felicitated with medals and certificates for their performance. The event brought together students from various schools and provided them an opportunity to showcase their sporting skills and competitive spirit.Interactive Session at Jesus and Mary AcademyAn interactive session on “Understanding Emotions” was organised at Jesus and Mary Academy, focusing on emotional intelligence and positive peace. Rotarian Smita Vikhenkar, an emotional health expert from Pune, was the keynote speaker. She spoke to students, teachers and staff members about understanding emotions, developing self-awareness, maintaining mental well-being and adopting a positive outlook in life. Through an interactive session, she encouraged participants to reflect on their emotions and develop greater emotional resilience.Jesus and Mary Academy co-director Abhishek Patrick appreciated the initiative and said such programmes were useful for the personal and overall development of students and teachers.Principal Pooja Anne Sharma said emotional intelligence and positive peace were highly relevant in today’s times and played an important role in the holistic development of students.
